Please join us for the CESMI Conference — CESMI stands for "Creating an Environmentally Sustainable Maritime Industry." Topics will range from ocean power and ship design to cargo handling in ports: "Ocean to Shore."

Our objective is to create a forum in Los Angeles where global maritime industry leaders, researchers, and Government Officials can meet, share ideas, and develop business and research opportunities, with the aim of creating a highly environmentally sustainable and profitable maritime industry.

I was fortunate enough to attend the first ever CESMI in 2013 and can't wait for the next one. There is something about the atmosphere and the energy created when a number of professionals get together in a relative small group and start to share ideas around green solutions for the marine sector. I mentioned the group was rather small in 2013 however I have a feeling CESMI will grow and establish itself as one of the places to be in the future for professionals interested in creating a highly environmentally sustainable and profitable maritime industry.
